How much would you put if asked what is your expected pay?

Would you give a range?

    you can put a range... like S$2000~S$2400
    or S$2400 (negotiable)

    as an hr personnnel, a question is meant to be answered.
    so if they ask you what your expected salary is, please give a figure.
    it will make things easier for both parties during the interview to negotiate.

    I usually put a figure, then add the word "Negotiable" behind.

    Some jobs, I did not put in a figure. I used "Affordable" ... but never got an interview for those
