Self Importing a Vehicle

We’ve got manage your expectations here. For most people, self importing a car could prove onerous – we don’t even want to go into the details here. Among other things, you’ll have to ensure that the vehicle you’re importing complies with Singapore’s Road Traffic Act Rules – of course that means you’ll have to acquaint yourself with the requirements and guidelines.

Besides adhering to the rules, you’ll have to produce a whole plethora of documentation, and probably need to obtain just as many approvals. And did we mention that you’ll also have to get your own shipping agent to bring your car over?
   

The rules and regulations about self-importing a car are available on the ONE.MOTORING Portal. Look through them at your own leisure, then decide whether you’re prepared to run the whole gamut. We think that only a rare minority, such as those eyeing vintage Rolls Royces of yesteryear for instance, would go through the hassle of self importation.
