Renewing Your COE
...........................................................
You would need to renew your COE if you wish to retain your vehicle beyond the 10-year period.
You may opt to renew either for another 10 years or go for a 5-year term.
To renew your COE for another 10 years, you need to pay the Prevailing Quota Premium (PQP). Check out our glossary for an explanation on the term “Prevailing Quota Premium”. You can submit your application via LTA’s e-service Renew COE.
COEs can also be renewed for a 5-year basis. The amount payable is 50% of the PQP. However, such a certificate cannot be renewed again, thus entailing that you’d have to de-register your car once it expires.
